Our Russian schools are located in Moscow and St Petersburg. Choosing a Russian course can be a daunting prospect which is why we offer an advisory service before, during and after your course. We can help you plan the trip, book your flight, organise your travel insurance and test your level of Russian.
Russian language courses
Our Russian language schools use a teaching method that allows students to develop the four basic skills of language learning: listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing. The aim is to learn the language in a natural and spontaneous way, just as students have learned their mother tongue. All of our students are encouraged to speak in the target language from the very first day using it in typical real-life situations. The basic syllabus is supplemented by special exercises such as role-play, situational dialogues, project work and the use of audio-visual facilities.
Class sizes are small with an average of 7-8 students per group. This helps ensure personal attention and the opportunity for self-expression.
All of our Russian courses are based on 6 different levels from beginner to advanced level and follows the system approved by the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages”.
All of our students receive a certificate of attendance and achievement at the end of their course.
Accommodation in Russia
To maximise your language learning on your Russian course we recommend that you stay with one of our carefully chosen Russian host families. Staying with a Russian host family provides you with a 'total immersion' in the Russian language as the family will normally only speak to you in Russian. This helps you learn the language more quickly. You will have your own private bedroom and your host family will normally provide you with breakfast and evening meal each day. We also offer residence, apartment and hotel accommodation.
Social and Cultural Activities
We understand that learning the Russian language does not stop when you leave the classroom. That is why we offer a supplementary social and cultural activity programme during afternoons, evenings and weekends. These include museum visits, language exchanges with local native students, conferences on local history, art and literature. Some activities are offered free of charge.
